In a remarkable act of charity and community service, the Hamma Saleh Memorial Foundation has been distributing hundreds of bags of pure water daily to less privileged individuals across Gombe State since the beginning of Ramadan.

The initiative, which will continue until the end of the holy month, aims to provide relief to fasting Muslims by ensuring they have access to clean drinking water for Iftar (breaking of fast).

The gesture led by philanthropist Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh, is widely seen as a gesture of deep compassion and commitment to supporting the Muslim community during the sacred period of fasting and prayers.

Some beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude to the foundation’s generosity, especially as access to clean water remains a challenge for many underprivileged families.

Speaking on the initiative, a representatives of the foundation Malam Isah Abba, Hon. Muhammad Shehu Bunu and Hon. Yusuf Haladu, emphasized that the water distribution is part of the foundation’s broader mission to support societal welfare and uplift the less fortunate, particularly during periods of spiritual significance like Ramadan.

Religious scholars and community leaders have lauded the effort, describing it as a noble act of charity (Sadaqah) that aligns with the teachings of Islam, which encourages kindness, generosity, and support to those in need.

Many residents and beneficiaries in some areas and mosques have offered special prayers for Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh, asking Allah to bless and reward him abundantly.

As Ramadan progresses, the foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining such initiatives, encouraging well-meaning individuals and organizations to contribute to humanitarian efforts that bring relief to the less privileged.
