Dr Jamil Gwamna Now Dan Darman Gona, Majen Yamaltu

The APC governorship candidate in Gombe State, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has been honoured with two traditional titles by Gona and Yamaltu emirates in recognition of his contributions to human capital development and community advancement. A press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the media aide to the candidate Ibrahim Sani Shawai said “In Gona Emirate, Dr Gwamna was conferred with the traditional title of Dan Darman Gona, while in Yamaltu Emirate, he was honoured with the title of Majen Yamaltu”. The titles were presented by the traditional institutions during separate ceremonies attended by community leaders, traditional title holders and other distinguished members of the communities. While presenting the title from Gona Emirate, the Sarkin Fulani Gona, Baba Sarkin Fulanin Gona, said Dr Gwamna’s character, dignity and contributions to human development were among the reasons he was considered for the honour. Responding, Dr Jamil Gwamna expressed appreciation to Almighty Allah, the Emirs of Gona and Yamaltu and the entire emirates for the honour, describing the title as a responsibility and a call to greater service. He assured the traditional institutions and people of Gona and Yamaltu of his commitment to remaining a worthy representative and ambassador of the emirates, saying “these honours have further strengthened my resolve to contribute to the development of my people” . From Yamaltu Emirate, Prof. Safiyanu Isyaku, Masoron Yamaltu, conveyed a message of respect and recognition from the traditional institution before Dr Gwamna was conferred with the title of Majen Yamaltu by the Emir of Yamaltu, Alhaji Dr Abubakar Aliyu. The APC governorship candidate appreciated the traditional institutions for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to uphold the dignity and responsibilities attached to the titles. Dr Gwamna said the honours were not merely titles but symbols of trust and expectations from the traditional institutions and the people, stressing that they would inspire him to do more in the areas of human capital development, community empowerment and service to humanity. He dedicated the honours to the people of Gombe State and reaffirmed his commitment to a politics of unity, dignity, service and development.

Daga Yunusa Isa, Gombe Ɗan takaran Jam’iyyar National Democratic Party (NDP) a zaɓen cike gurbi na mazaɓar tarayya ta Gombe-Kwami-Funakaye, Honourable Abdulmujib Abdulkarim Kwami, ya tabbatarwa al’ummar mazaɓar cewa zai yi musu wakilci na gari idan aka zaɓe shi a zaɓen da za a gudanar a ranar Asabar. Da yake ganawa da manema labarai a Gombe, Honourable Abdulmujib ya bayyana cewa jagorancinsa zai fi mayar da hankali ne wajen kawo ci gaba ta hanyar yin ingantattun dokoki, inda zai sanya bunƙasa harkar noman zamani a gaba kasancewarsa babban sana’ar al’ummar mazabar.   “Kasancewar yawancin mutanenmu manoma ne, lokaci ya yi da ya kamata mu kawo musu da sabbin dabaru a harkar noma don inganta yawan amfanin gonan da suke samu da kuma tabbatar da samun wadataccen abinci a jiharmu,” inji shi. Ɗan takaran ya kuma yi alkawarin gabatar da kudirorin doka da za su samar da ilimi kyauta don inganta shigar yara makarantu tare da ragewa iyaye ɗawainiya. Bugu da kari, ya yi alkawarin mayar da hankali kan shirye-shiryen tallafawa mata da matasa ta hanyar samar musu ayyukan yi da tallafin jari don dogaro da kai ta fuskar sana’o’i da kasuwanci. Da yake jawabi kai tsaye ga masu zabe, Honourable Abdulmujib ya yi ƙira ga al’ummar Gombe-Kwami-Funakaye su guji siyasar kuɗi, sannan ya gargaɗi matasa su guji shiga bangar siyasa ko su bari wassu bata garin ‘yan siyasa marasa kishi su yi amfani da su gabanin, lokacin ko bayan zaben cike gurbin dama babban zaben 2027 mai zuwa. Ya kuma yi ƙira ga Hukumar Zaɓe Mai Zaman Kanta ta Kasa (INEC) ta tabbatar da gudanar da zabe mai inganci, a gaskiya da adalci, ta hanyar zama yar ba ruwanmu da kuma baiwa kowa damar fafatawa daidai wa daida, ya kara da cewa jam’iyyar NDP a shirye take tsaf don shiga zaben cike gurbi da ma zaben 2027. By Yunusa Isa, Gombe The National Democratic Party candidate for the upcoming Gombe-Kwami-Funakaye Federal Constituency by-election, Honourable Abdulmujib Abdulkarim Kwami, has assured constituents of effective representation if elected in Saturday’s poll. Speaking during an interaction with journalists in Gombe, Honourable Abdulmujib stated that his tenure would focus on delivering the dividends of democracy through purposeful legislation, prioritizing agricultural mechanization across the constituency. “Being that the majority of my people are farmers, it is high time to introduce them to new farming techniques to improve their yields and ensure food security in the state,” he said. The candidate also pledged to sponsor bills supporting free education to increase school enrollment and alleviate financial burdens on parents. Furthermore, he promised to prioritize empowerment programs for women and youth by creating employment opportunities and providing capital support to foster entrepreneurial self-reliance. Addressing the electorate, Honourable Abdulmujib urged constituents to reject money politics and cautioned young people against engaging in political thuggery. “I strongly discourage our youth against political thuggery or being allowed to be used by unpatriotic politicians before, during, or after the by-election as well as the upcoming 2027 general election,” he warned.
