Governor Yahaya Hails Army For Commitment, Sacrifice To Nigerian Sovereignty

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and Chairman Northern States Governors’ Forum has praised the Nigerian Army for its sacrifices and commitment to safeguarding the sovereignty and unity of the country.

This was according to a press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the Information Officer SSG’s Office Joshua Ɗanmalam.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya who gave the praise while addressing officers and Men of the 301 Artilery Regiment Gombe on the occasion of 2023 West African Social Activities (WASA) celebration also noted that their sacrifices for the peace and unity of Gombe State has resonated beyond borders contributing to the prosperity of Gombe State.

Represented by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Col. Abdullahi Bello Talasse Retired, the Governor also reminded the officers and men of the Nigeria Army to use the occasion to build bridges of understanding, friendship and unity in the face of daunting security challengers facing the people, so as to forge a future of hope and stability.

He further encourage participants at the annual event to use the moment to strengthen bonds that ties them together, fostering the spirit of cooperation and understanding that transcends all differences.

Governor Yahaya specially recognise the unwavering dedication and sacrifices of the military in providing security, stressing the need for collective efforts through collaboration between the civil population and the security agencies.

He paid glowing tribute to the GOC 3 Division of the Nigeria Army and Commander Operation Safe Haven Major General J.E Abubakar, the Commander 301 Artillery Regiment Gombe, officers, men and their families for the success of the event.
