The Gombe State Urban Planning and Development Authority, GOSUPDA has conducted rigorous development regulation exercises to ensure compliance with Executive Order No. 07 issued by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya regarding the revitalization of BAP 4 Layout.

Located within the Gombe Capital Special Development Zone, all developments had previously been halted in the layout following Executive Order No. 04 issued by the governor. With Executive Order No. 07, all land titles were revoked to facilitate a seamless revitalization process.

Speaking at the site, the Executive Chairman, GOSUPDA, Alh. Bappayo Samanja Maudo, expressed concern over the actions of some property owners who violated the law by continuing construction activities.

Maudo clarified that any structures erected after the issuance of Executive Order No. 4 would not be eligible for compensation.

“To ensure compliance, GOSUPDA has combed the area and identified instances of ongoing development or redevelopment. These activities have been halted, and property owners have been instructed to report to the authority”, the chairman noted.

He therefore called on the general public, especially property owners at BAP 4, to support the Inuwa-led administration’s efforts to revitalize the layout for the growth and development of the entire state.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya recently flagged off the construction of roads, storm drainages, schools, and hospitals in BAP 4 Layout, renaming it Shehu Abubakar District in honor of the late emir of Gombe, Usman Shehu Abubakar.

This revitalization effort aims to transform the previously devastated area into a more habitable and economically productive space, attracting investors and supporting the development of the state.
