The Director-General of the Gombe State Traffic and Environmental Corps (GOSTEC), Ibrahim Bappa (Rtd), observed a significant reduction in social vices within the state since the establishment of the Corps.
Bappa made this observation while responding to questions from journalists in his office. He expressed satisfaction with the Corps’ duties and reiterated his commitment to fulfilling his responsibilities effectively.
“The Corps serves to complement the efforts of security agencies, environmental personnel, and traffic wardens,” he explained.
“Our members enjoy maximum support and cooperation in carrying out their duties,” he added.
The Director-General sought continued public support and cooperation, assuring them of his commitment to making Gombe State a safe haven for all residents. He urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to GOSTEC for a prompt response.
Bappa, leveraging his vast experience, pledged to minimize security threats, calling on the public to be law-abiding citizens for the progress of the state and Nigeria.
