Hon. Hamma Adama Dattuwa Ali Kumo continues to enjoy growing recognition across Gombe State, with residents linking his popularity to his steady engagement in community development, youth support, and humanitarian assistance.
A resident of Jekadafari, Auwalu Ladan, said Dattuwa Ali Kumo stands out as a politician whose influence goes beyond party politics, noting that his interventions in community welfare have earned him respect among ordinary citizens.
According to him, the APC chieftain has remained a familiar figure in Akko Local Government Area, where many people regard him as a leader who stays connected to grassroots concerns despite holding prominent national responsibilities.
Dattuwa Ali Kumo, popularly known as “Katukan Doma” and “Sarkin Tafarkin Akko,” currently serves as the National Assistant Financial Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chairman of the Governing Board of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
Despite his positions at the national level, residents say he has maintained strong ties with his constituency and continues to respond to community needs when necessary.
Ladan explained that one of the reasons for his acceptance is his accessibility, noting that he listens to people and offers support where possible, unlike many politicians who become distant after attaining office.
Observers also point to his consistent focus on youth empowerment as a key factor in his rising profile.
Over the years, he has supported initiatives that encourage young people to acquire vocational skills, pursue entrepreneurship, and reduce dependence on government employment
Community members say these efforts have helped improve livelihoods and created opportunities for self-reliance among many youths in the area.
In addition, he is widely acknowledged for his humanitarian gestures, especially during religious celebrations and periods of economic hardship, when he extends assistance to vulnerable families.
For many residents, his blend of public service, accessibility, and community support continues to define his political identity and strengthen his popularity across Gombe State.
