Sports: Bauchi Gov’t Commits To Promote Extracurricular Activities In Public Schools

The Bauchi State Ministry of Education is reviving the Inter Schools Football Competition to promote extracurricular activities and boost enrollment into formal schools.

The State Commissioner for Education Dr. Jamila Muhammad Ɗahiru, made this known at the Kauran Bauchi Inter Secondary Schools Football Championship, at the football field of the General Hassan Usman Katsina Unity Collage, Bauchi.

 

Dr. Jamila emphasized that “The Inter School Football Championship will develop students’ abilities, foster relationship, and encourage them to focus on their studies for societal development”.

She used the medium to commend the efforts of Governor Bala Mohammed for supporting her ministry especially in the sports activities.

 

To this end, the commissioner urged all public secondary schools across the state to register for the competition towards reviving system.

The competition will take place across the three senatorial districts, where all public secondary schools are expected to participate.
