The Society of Nigerian Broadcasters (SNB), Gombe State Chapter has announce the selection of its interim leadership.
A statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the secretary of the interim committee Hassan Abubakar Kwami, said “Following extensive consultations and deliberations among members and key stakeholders in the broadcast industry, the following individuals have been unanimously chosen to lead the chapter:
– Chairman: Malam Garba Ubale Danbatta (Ph.D), General Manager of Jewe FM Gombe
– Vice Chairman: Alhaji Faruk Mu’azu, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Gombe State Council
– Secretary: Mr. Hassan Abubakar Kwami, Head of FUK Radio
– Treasurer: Hajiya Jamila of Federal University Kashere”
The statement noted that the appointment of these seasoned professionals as interim leaders is aimed at facilitating the full registration of all professional broadcasters in Gombe State, fostering collaboration with other state chapters and the national body, and ultimately promoting the growth and development of the broadcasting profession in the state.
The interim management team will also establish the necessary structures for the election of substantive leaders, pending the registration and induction of all members by the national body.
