Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has approved the adjustment of the working hours for civil servants during the Ramadan fasting in the state.
In a statement signed by the Overseeing Director Establishments for Head of Civil Service, Isma’il Ibn Garam and made available to Jewel Times, the civil servants are to close at three o’clock in the evening from Mondays to Thursdays, while on Fridays, they are to close at one o’clock in the afternoon from the beginning to the end of the holy month.
The statement noted that the decision was for the civil servants to fully observe the sacred practices of Ramadan and to engage fully in its activities.
It therefore encouraged the civil servants to use the holy month to pray for peace, prosperity and development of the state and the nation at large.
