The Gombe State Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), has expressed readiness to participate in the forthcoming Kumo East councillorship by-election.

 

The council made the expression after a meeting convened by the Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC) to intimate the parties on the by-election.

 

Speaking to newsmen, the IPAC Public Relations Officer Aliyu Adamu, said the parties are fully ready to contest in the election, calling on the electorates in Kumo East to come out en masse during the bielection to discharge their civic responsibility.

 

He said their candidates are ready to seek for electorates mandate to sweep the councillorship seat.

On his part, the chairman National Rescue Movement (NRM) Muhammad Sulaiman Kumo, said electorates have lost confidence in the rulling party following its harsh economic policies, expressing optimism that the minority parties are going to triumph.

 

The duo called on the state electoral commission to conduct free fair and credible by-election.
