…Donates Five Solar Boreholes, 1,000 NECO Forms, To Undertake Medical Outreach
The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Area Development Community (HYPPADEC) has concluded plans to establish three (3) area offices in Gombe State.
According to a press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the Information Officer SSG’s Office Joshua Ɗanmalam, the disclosure was by Ahmed Mohammed Yakubu when he led officials from its Head office in Abuja on a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.
He informed the SSG that the three area offices will be cited at Ɓilliri, Daɗinkowa and Ɗifa, noting that the establishment of the offices by HYPPADEC would enable the agency perform effectively.
Mohammed used the visit to commiserate with the state over the recent flood that ravage some communities along the bank of Dadinkowa Dam.
He therefore announced the Agency’s donation of one thousand free NECO registration forms to final year students in the affected areas, drilling of five solar boreholes at Ɗifa and other affected communities as well as a planned medical outreach to be conducted soon.
The team lead further says plans have also been concluded to establish new nursery centres in Ɗifa, Ɓilliri and Daɗinkowa respectively and thanked the state government under the leadership of Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the warm reception accorded them.
The Secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi expressed gratitude to HYPPADEC for the planned establishment of the three area offices, describing it as a welcome development to the government and people of Gombe State.
Professor Njoɗi also appreciated the donation of solar boreholes, NECO forms for 1,000 students and a plan medical outreach services as part of its corporate social responsibility to communities especially those in distress.
He assured the agency that the State Government will work in partnership with it for the benefit of the people.
He reiterated Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s commitment in protecting the environment through polices and programs that addresses land depredation.
