…As PASAN Gombe Gets New Executive
The Chairman of the Gombe State House of Assembly Service Commission Suleiman Abubakar has appreciated the commitment of Gombe State Government for providing a favourable condition for its smooth operations.
This was according to a press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the Principal Information Officer, House of Assembly Service Commission Joshua Danmalam.
Speaking at the second election of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) executive, Suleiman also commended the staff of the commission for their support and loyalty which he said has immensely improved its performance.
He further commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for setting the pace in the approval of Consolidated Legislative Salary Structure (CONLESS) for the commission’s staff as approved by the Federal Government.
The chairman called on all contestants and the electoral committee to exhibit high sense of maturity and decorum in the conduct of the election.
In a remark, secretary of the commission Hajiya Aishatu Hari Abdulkadir, appealed to all actors in the election not to see the exercise as a do or die affair, assuring that whoever emerges, has the support of the commission.
The National President of the Association Comrade Usman Mohammed represented by the Vice President North East Zone Comrade Isiaka Jibrin Gitel, appreciated Gombe State Government through the commission for its support to the association.
Earlier, the chairman of the electoral committee Lazarus Abir, said only four offices are being contested, appealing to members to conduct themselves appropriately.
At the end of the election Abdulmalik Adamu Aliyu emerged Chairman, Hussaini Abdulhamid Secretary, Adamu Aliyu Assistant Secretary, Yahaya Nafada Social Secretary and Yahaya Limai Welfare Secretary among others.
All the elected officers were presented with certificates of return and were sworn In by the representative of the national president.
Speaking on behalf of the newly elected executives shortly after the oath of office, Chairman of the Gombe State House Assembly Service Comrade Abdulmalik Adamu Aliyu sought for support and cooperation of members, while assuring of team work with all members and the executive for the progress of PASAN, House of Assembly Service Commission Chapter.
