The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Gombe State has received more than 150 people who defected to its fold in Kwadon-Liji-Kurɓa Ward of Yamaltu-Deba Local Government Area of the state.
Receiving the defectors, the Gombe State Chairman of the ADC Malam Danladi Yau, described the party as panacea to Nigeria’s predicaments.

“ADC is the only way out of these artificially-inflicted hardships the ruling party has pushed Nigerians into”.
While assuring to carry everyone along, the chairman told the new members that “ADC is ready to revive our lost glory, hope for dignity, freedom and prosperity in Gombe State and Nigeria”.

Malam Danladi restated the party’s commitments to fielding quality candidates that can take Gombe People and Nigerians to a promise land.
In his address, the State Deputy Chairman of the party Alhaji Nasiru Lawal, said ADC is all inclusive.

“This is the only party that offered free forms for youth, women and people living with disabilities to contest for various political offices in the last General Elections, and we are poised to maintain the tempo”.
He advised the new and old members of the party to play politics without bitterness, rancho or division.

Earlier in his address, the Chairman Killer Groups – a hunters’ group in Yamaltu-Deba, Bappa Babayo (Zafafa), said they decided to join the ADC following a series of failed promises from the ruling All Progressives Congress, citing incidences of flood in Kwadon due to lack of water channels earlier promised by the ruling party.
The chairman said more are on their way to ADC. “I assure you that apart from the first batch of 150 we defected from Kwadon-Liji-Kurɓa Ward, another batches are on their way soon into this great ADC”.

Zafafa assured of their unflinching commitment to canvas support for ADC across nook and cranny of Yamaltu-Deba Local Government.
The secretary of the group Sama’ila Yawale Kwadon, said many of the defectors were members of the APC and PDP, while some are just joining politics through the ADC.
