Members of the Zaɓi Sonka Club across Nigeria have been urged to rally behind Comrade Garba Muhammad Ubale for the position of National Chairman, as his proven leadership experience and deep commitment to youth empowerment and community development stand him out as the ideal candidate to lead the association into a new era.
Comrade Garba Ubale, a respected youth leader and seasoned grassroots mobilizer, previously served as Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Gombe State Chapter, and as Chairman of the Zaɓi Sonka Club in the state.
His leadership record reflects vision, dedication, and the ability to inspire progress.
During his tenure as the Gombe State Chairman, Comrade Garba achieved a major milestone by organizing the first-ever National Conference of the Zaɓi Sonka Club in 2009.
The landmark event brought together more than 2,000 delegates from across the country, with over half of them accommodated at his personal expense a gesture that underscored his generosity and genuine devotion to the club’s mission.
Members familiar with his record described him as a man deeply involved in the club’s national programs, whose experience and understanding of youth mobilization make him a strong contender for the national leadership seat.
With the National Chairmanship zoned to the North East, many members believe that Comrade Garba Ubale stands out for his competence, humility, and wide-reaching connections.
He has pledged to strengthen collaboration with key national agencies, including the National Orientation Agency (NOA), the Federal Ministry of Health, and the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, to revitalize and expand the club’s national reach.
Outlining his vision, Comrade Garba stated that, if elected, he would focus on reviving the Zaɓi Sonka Club to make it more dynamic, visible, and impactful across all states.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork, discipline, and innovation to ensure the club remains a driving force in volunteerism, civic responsibility, and national unity.
He also expressed readiness to partner with major media houses, particularly the mother station, Radio Nigeria Kaduna, and other radio outlets nationwide, to promote the club’s programs such as community work and environmental sanitation exercises (aikin gayya).
According to him, Zaɓi Sonka Club has always been known for its commitment to community service and moral discipline.
His administration, he assured, would build on that legacy to reignite the patriotic spirit of service among Nigeria’s youth and strengthen the club’s relevance in national development.
