The international business mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman Dangote Group of Companies, has pledged to support Inuwa Yahaya led administration in making Gombe an investment hub in the North East.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the wedding fatiha of the daughter of Alhaji Umaru Kwairanga (Sarkin Fulanin Gombe), Dangote said Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has done a lot to woo investors in the state by establishing Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park, which according to him will encourage them invest in the state with ease.
He said he is looking into possibilities of forming cement industry in Gombe State in view of the abundant resources of the state such as gypsum, limestone, coal and lot of mineral resources that will reduce costs of production.
Alhaji Aliko Dangote further said if properly harnessed, the cement production will help reduce transportation fares and taxes.
He therefore lauded the foresight of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his efforts to industrialize the state by providing enabling environment for investors, especially by establishing the Muhammad Buhari Industrial Park in the state.
Dangote also applauded the Governor for providing the necessary infrastructure like road network, Water and electricity suitable for attracting investors.
On his decision to reduce the price of Gas in Nigeria from 1200 to 1000 Naira, Dangote said he did that out of patriotism to bring down the inflation rate on goods and services in the country, as gas remained the source of energy for transportation, which serve as contributing factor in inflating almost every good and services in the country.
