Corps Members Distribute School Materials To Pupils In Bauchi

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission Community Development Service of the National Youth Service Corps, has distributed learning materials to over one thousand pupils in Unguwar Borno Primary School, Bauchi Local Government Area.

Speaking during the distribution at the school premises, the President of the ICPC group Mr. Omotosho Mayowa Nifemi, said the gesture was to compliment the NYSC’s Values and the State Government’s efforts in reshaping the education system in the state.

He stressed the need for all to embark on such humanitarian gesture to make life better and meaningful to the younger generation.

Mr. Omotosho Mayowa observed that the move will also assist the students acquire sound knowledge.

Earlier, The Secretary of the group Kamaluddeen Abubakar called on the State Government, Corporate Organizations and other stakeholders to support children education in the state.

He charged parents and guardians to ensure their kids are always in school.

In a vote of thanks, the Assistant Headmaster Unguwar Borno Primary School Malam Umar Isma’il appreciated the CDS group of the NYSC for the kind gesture, calling on others to emulate.

He solicited for more support from various stakeholders for the development of education system in the state.

Some of the beneficiaries, Fatima Hassan, Adamu Lawal and Abdulsalam Salisu Isma’il appreciated the corps members for identifying with them.

Items distributed, include books, school sandals, pencils, uniform among others.
