Bauchi Emirate Council has appointed District Head of Duguri Alhaji Adamu Mohammad Duguri as a member of the council representing the district heads in the emirate.
In a remark at the palace of the council, the Emir of Bauchi Alhaji Sulaiman Rilwanu Adamu extolled the good virtues of Alhaji Adamu Mohammed Duguri as the right council member to represent the district heads of Bauchi Emirate.
While congratulating the district head for a well deserved appointment, the emir tasked the new council member to work with other district heads for the progress of Bauchi Emirate Council and the state in general.
Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu therefore commended Governor Bala Mohammad led administration’s development projects, and called on people of the state to give the governor the desired support aimed at achieving his new Bauchi Project.
He appreciated the people who attended the occasion particularly the Emir of Katagum Alhaji Umar Faruq Umar II.
Earlier Speaking, The Emir of Katagum Alhaji Umar Furuk and the Tafidan Duguri Alhaji Salmanu Mohammad Tafida expressed their appreciation to Bauchi Emirate Council for finding the District Head of Duguri, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed Duguri worthy to serve as the district heads representative in the council.
Alhaji Umar Faruq Umar II, described the new council member as a bridge builder and unified personality, brother and friend who he hold with high esteem, calling on him to work with the Bauchi Emirate Council to achieve the set objectives.
Speaking to newsmen on the development at his resident, the new representative of the district heads Alhaji Adamu Mohammed Duguri said traditional institutions serve as role model, maintaining that he received the task in good faith.
Alhaji Adamu Duguri assured to be committed, transparent and all inclusive to his members to move Bauchi Emirate Council and the state forward, urging them to accord him the necessary support to justify the confidence they reposed in him.
