The Chairman Nigeria Stock Exchange who doubles as Chairman Gombe State Investment and Property Development Company Alhaji Umaru Kwairanga (Sarkin Fulanin Gombe) has described the gesture bestowed on him by attending the wedding of his daughter as a sign of honour not only to him and his family but to the people of the state in general.
Fielding questions from newsmen shortly after the weeding fatiha which took place at the palace of the Emir of Gombe Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar lll, Alhaji Umaru Kwairanga said the people who attended the wedding indebted him and people of the state, a development he said signifies the popularity of Gombe State in the country and the world at large.
He also appreciated the state Governor Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and the Emir of Gombe Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar who he described as the father to people of the state.
The Sarkin Fulani seized the opportunity to commended the international business mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote and all other dignitaries who graced the occasion, adding that it will remain indelible in the history of Gombe State.
While calling on the new couples to respect one another, he further urged them to copy from the life style of their parents which according to him will be of great benefit to their marital life.
The wedding which turned to be a meeting of who is who of the Nigeria’s business class in the state, the National Chairman of Nigeria Stock Exchange used the opportunity in convincing them to avail themselves with their business opportunities to invest Gombe State.
He said investment is his hobby and he will do all it takes to bring anything that has to do with investment to Gombe for the development of the state.
The wedding was attended by Aliko Dangote, Umar Mutallaf, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Senator Dankwambo, Senator Tony Siyako Yaro and a lot of people across political and business divides in Nigeria..
