2027: Gombe APC Suspends All Political Structures Established By Gubernatorial Aspirants

Posted on April 9, 2024 by Jtimes

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Gombe State Chapter, has suspended all political structures of 2027 gubernatorial aspirants and urged all party members to refrain from participating in any unlawful campaign activities until restrictions on political campaigns are lifted.

This was contained in a communique issued at the end of the State Executive Meeting of the party and made available to Jewel Times by the APC Publicity Secretary, Ambassador Moses Kyari.

The communique said after extensive deliberation, the party has noted with deep concern the continued violation of election laws and the constitution of the ruling party by some members aspiring to run in the 2027 governorship election.

The party strongly condemned actions of the aspirants urging them to avoid distracting Inuwa Yahaya led administration from delivering its campaign promises to the good people of the state.

Accordingly, the meeting has resolved that all political structures and contact committees established by the aspirants have been banned, while reiterating commitments to ensure full compliance with the directive, threatening to sanction any member who violates the party’s constitution.

The meeting has equally passed a vote of confidence on the leadership style of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, acknowledging his remarkable achievements and dedication to serving Gombe people towards development and progress of the State.
