In a significant move toward party cohesion ahead of the 2027 polls, Hajiya Sa’adatu Sa’ad Mustapha (Alkebbar Kaltungo) has officially thrown her weight behind Dr. Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna following his emergence as the consensus gubernatorial candidate for Gombe State.

The declaration marks a pivotal moment for the ruling party, signaling a unified front as the race to succeed the current administration begins to take shape.

Hajiya Sa’adatu, a prominent aspirant who had previously expressed interest in the state’s top job, noted that her decision to support Gwamna was rooted in a commitment to the state’s collective progress over individual aspirations.

In a press statement she personally signed and made available to Jewel Times, the aspirant described the selection as the result of an “extensive consultative process” aimed at ensuring the party remains formidable and focused.

She stated that “I extend my warm congratulations to Dr. Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna on his emergence as the consensus candidate for the forthcoming 2027 gubernatorial election”.

The statement added that “As an aspirant who had the honor and privilege to express interest in serving our dear state, I wholeheartedly accept the outcome of the decision. In the spirit of unity, progress, and collective responsibility, I hereby pledge my full support, loyalty, and cooperation to the consensus candidate.”

The Alkebbar Kaltungo emphasized that the party’s historical strength has always been its ability to prioritize stability over personal ambition.

She reaffirmed her dedication to the vision of the incumbent Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, praising his “purposeful leadership” for fostering a climate of peace and transformation within the state.

“I remain firmly committed to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure victory at the polls and to sustain the ongoing development of Gombe State,” Hajiya Sa’adatu added.

“I also wish to reaffirm my unwavering loyalty and profound respect to His Excellency, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya. I remain fully aligned with his vision and direction at all times.”

She urged party faithful and stakeholders to set aside differences and rally behind Gwamna to ensure a seamless transition and continued governance.

“As we move forward, I call on all party members to unite behind our candidate in the interest of peace, cohesion, and sustained development. Together, we shall achieve even greater success for Gombe State,” she concluded.
