The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe State Command, Commandant Gyama Gyawiya, has deployed 900 officers and men to ensure a hitch-free Eid-Fitr Sallah celebrations.
This was according to a press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the corps’ Public Relations Officer SC Buhari Saad on behalf of the state commandant.
The statement said the deployment is aimed at:
– Securing worship grounds: to ensuring all worship places are fully secured for hitch-free worship;
– Traffic Management: Ensuring free flow of traffic and crowd control at all venues of celebration.
– Inter-agency collaboration: synergizing with other agencies to effect a hitch-free celebration.
– Protecting Lives and Property*: Protecting lives and property throughout the state.
– Securing Critical Assets: Protecting critical national assets, including public and private infrastructure.
– Maintaining law and order: Maintaining law and order throughout the state before, during, and after the Sallah celebration.
Commandant Gyama wishes all Muslim faithfuls and residents of Gombe happy Sallah celebration, assuring that the NSCDC is committed to ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for celebration.
