The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State has received a boost following the defection of Alhaji Haruna Jonga, former General Manager of the Marshall security outfit, from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Jonga was officially welcomed into the party at the APC secretariat in Gombe Local Government Area, where ALGON Chairman, Barr. Sani Ahmad Haruna, described the move as proof of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s positive impact on the people.
APC local chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Danladi, hailed Jonga as a political asset whose entry would further strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Explaining his decision, Jonga said he was convinced by the governor’s developmental projects, stressing that “anyone who truly loves Gombe must stand with Governor Inuwa Yahaya.”
The event was witnessed by top government officials and APC stalwarts in Gombe State.
