PDP Leadership in Balanga-Ɓilliri Affirms Barrister Rambi Ayala as Sole Candidate for House of Reps

The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Balanga-Billiri Federal Constituency has reaffirmed its total support for Barrister Rambi Ibrahim Ayala as the party’s sole candidate for the constituency in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
At the affirmation ceremony held at the Billiri PDP Office, party stakeholders gathered to formalize their backing for Ayala.
The Billiri Local Government PDP Chairman, Hon. Lewi Lasare, who served as the returning officer for the affirmation, clarified that Ayala was the only aspirant who met the party’s requirements.
“We are here only to affirm one person who bought the nomination form for the Balanga-Billiri Federal Constituency race under the PDP. “The only person we know in this race is Rambi Ayala, as notified by the state office. We are not aware of anybody else who purchased the form, Lasare declared.”
Corroborating this stance, the Balanga Local Government PDP Chairman, Alhaji Ali Bwangal, remarked that it takes a hardworking, committed, and resilient individual to vie for the Balanga-Billiri House of Representatives seat under an opposition platform.
Furthermore, the PDP State Deputy Publicity Secretary, Haruna Hussaini Lankangle, noted that by virtue of being the sole aspirant, Ayala has automatically become the party’s flag bearer for the constituency in 2027.
The high point of the event featured party leaders raising Ayala’s hands to formally present him as the PDP’s consensus candidate for the federal constituency.
In his acceptance speech, Barrister Rambi Ibrahim Ayala expressed deep gratitude to the PDP leadership for the confidence reposed in him.
Describing himself as a loyal party faithful who was “born and bred by the PDP,” Ayala sued for unity within the party ranks, urging members to forgive past grievances to forge a formidable front.
He assured the party and his supporters of his total commitment to challenging the ruling APC administration, which he characterized as “ruthless and tyrannical,” promising to work tirelessly to defeat them in the 2027 polls.
Ayala also declared his unalloyed support for the incumbent Gombe South Senator, Anthony Siyako Yaro, pledging to mobilize maximum support for his return to the National Assembly.
“We have no reason not to support our incumbent senator. To ensure Senator Anthony Siyako Yaro is re-elected for a second term, we shall go into every nook and cranny of Gombe South to seek support for his re-election and ensure he returns to continue protecting our mandate”, Ayala said.
He commended the PDP leadership for maintaining equity and justice in zoning the senatorial and House of Representatives seats to Balanga and Billiri local government areas, respectively.
While observing that for 20 years, Balanga had occupied the House of Representatives seat, Ayala praised the party’s wisdom in zoning it to Billiri this time around to ensure justice and equality.
The aspirant called for continuous prayers for the party leadership at all levels. He specifically paid tribute to the state party leader, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, whom he described as a true lover of the Balanga-Billiri constituency and Gombe South at large.
The affirmation ceremony was well-attended by a massive crowd of party loyalists, stakeholders, and enthusiastic supporters who chanted songs of solidarity.
