The Minority Whip of the House of Representative in the 10th National Assembly and Member Representing Balanga-Billiri Federal Constituency Hon. Ali Isa JC has officially announced his resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
In a letter titled “LETTER OF RESIGNATION FROM THE PDP” he personally signed and addressed to Kindiyo Ward PDP Chairman,
in Balanga Local Government Area of
Gombe State, the member said the resignation is with immediate effect.
Hon. Ali JC said his decision was prompted by some undemocratic forces whom he accused of hijacking the PDP.
“My decision is compelled by the way and manner some undemocratic forces have hijacked the party for reasons that are
contrary to the founding principles and philosophy of the party, which created a factional leadership”.
The member noted that the decision was a unanimous choice of his constituents in the interest of their political future.
“Consequently, after a series of rigorous consultations with my family, political associates, friends, and relevant stakeholders, I have arrived at the conclusion that the path to my political future, as well as the political future of the great people who gave me
their mandate to represent them at the House of Representatives, lies outside the PDP.
It is my firm belief that the people of my constituency deserve a platform on which their interests and political future will be better
guaranteed”.
He appreciated the party’s leadership for giving him the opportunity to represent his people under its platform.
The member has recently visited Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya at the Government House, Gombe, after which he addressed newsmen, noting that discussions about his political future formed part of their discussion.
