The 2025 edition of the Merit and Vibes Awards (MVA) has once again celebrated excellence and innovation in Nigeria’s entertainment and creative industry, recognising individuals and organisations who have distinguished themselves through talent, impact, and integrity.
The annual event, renowned for promoting diversity and inclusivity, also stood out this year for its focus on inspiring people with disabilities in the creative sector. The organisers said the move was aimed at inspiring social change and fostering a culture of acceptance and equal opportunity.
Speaking on the significance of the award, the Chief Executive Officer of MVA, Jane Adanna Francis, said the platform was established to honour hard work, creativity, and resilience across various fields.
She noted that MVA’s recognition of persons with disabilities was not an act of charity but a deliberate effort to highlight ability, talent, and contribution to national growth.
According to her “Nigeria’s youth are hardworking and full of potential,” Francis said. “What they need is genuine investment, mentorship, and platforms that will enable them to reach their full capacity. Government must prioritise youth development as a foundation for national progress.”
The CEO further explained that the Merit and Vibes Awards has evolved into a rallying point for young creators, musicians, filmmakers, and social entrepreneurs who are redefining the Nigerian cultural landscape.

putation for credibility and inclusivity, honouring achievers who exemplify the values of excellence, service, and social responsibility.
