Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate for Gombe State, has formally extended his congratulations to the newly sworn-in members of the Gombe State Executive Council, a group that includes the Head of Civil Service, Commissioners, Special Advisers, and Permanent Secretaries.
In a press statement signed and made available by the Spokesperson to Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna Ibrahim Sani Shawai, the APC Governorship Candidate, Dr. Gwamna characterized the appointments as well-deserved, expressing his firm belief in the competence, experience, and commitment of the appointees to advance the state’s development through dedicated public service.
He urged the officials to justify the confidence reposed in them by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya by prioritizing hard work, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare and aspirations of the people.
Beyond the appointments, Dr. Gwamna commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for taking a bold and strategic step toward strengthening governance by expanding the State Executive Council from 18 to 23 ministries.
He noted that this restructuring is set to enhance institutional efficiency and improve service delivery, better positioning the government to address emerging developmental priorities.
Dr. Gwamna particularly applauded the creation of the Ministries of Humanitarian Affairs and Livestock Development, describing the decision as both timely and forward-looking.
”The new ministries align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda while addressing critical sectors with significant potential to improve livelihoods, strengthen social protection, and drive economic growth in Gombe State,” Dr. Gwamna stated.
