As the ten days protest ended Saturday 10th August 2024, it coincided with GOSUPDA end of week routine tours under the leadership of its Executive Chairman Alhaji Bappayo Samanja Mauɗo.

During the tour, the authority inspected some locations in Gombe Metropolis including the beautiful triangular junction leading to Police Headquarters and Federal Teaching Hospital where all solar panels powering the lights that beautify the junction were vandalized and stolen including the iron fence.

Government House Round About leading to Central Round About was also vandalized, where all the iron fence and green carpets were stolen.

The executive chairman expressed dismay over the development, describing the vandalizers as enemies of the state who shall definitely fail.

The EC said “I’m sure the Government of Gombe State under Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya will rebuild all the places destroyed, and make them even more attractive than ever.

Samanja Mauɗo has equally led his team on development control tours to 15 other places in the Metropolis to include GRA, Tumfure, Nasarawo Industrial Cluster, Tashan Dukku, Gombe City Gate amongst others. Mauɗo said appreciable development control has taken place.

He appreciated good people of the state for being patriotic in protecting not only their belongings but also governments properties.

Bappayo Mauɗo added that vandalism hurts the economy, as public funds are going to be used to revive the vandalized places.
