GOSUPDA Demolishes Baby Factory, Four Gala Houses, Drug Dealer Abode In Gombe

Gombe State Urban Planning and Development Authority, GOSUPDA has warn the operators of Gala and brothel houses in Gombe to desist and stop operations or face full wrath of the law.

The Executive Chairman of the Authority, Alh. Bappayo Samanja Maudo gave the warning while shedding light on the recent demolishing exercise undertaken by his agency.

The ES said the State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya will not condone any act detrimental to the norms and values of the society hence his decision to direct GOSUPDA to embark on the exercise.

“Therefore anybody found going against His Excellency’s directive will be dealt with accordingly”, he said, adding that apart from demolishing, building approval and land ownership will also be revoked as well as possible prosecution of the owner in he court of law.

He also highlighted that the agency has identified and demolished first baby factory house in Madaki quarters. In addition, four Gala and brothel houses were demolished in Sabon Layi area, Nayi-nawa, Herwa Gana and Tumfure. Similarly, another place where a drug dealer operates along Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe was also brought down.

Alh. Samanja Maudo therefore called on all those who are involved in Gala business, own the Gala Houses or have anything to do with their operations across the state to find alternative legal businesses, as the agency will not hesitate to destroy such illegal establishments.
