
The National President of Gombe State Student Association (GOSSA) Comrade Mohammed Adamu Bako, has commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for commitments to supporting higher institution students on their quest to further their studies.
The president made the commendation when he led executive members of the association on a felicitation visit to the Secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njoɗi at the Government House.

The president explained that they were at the SSG’s Office to rejoice with him over his relocation to new office, and to expressed gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his numerous support to students of Gombe State particularly in the payments of backlog of scholarship arreas and the recent opening of portal for students to access the new phase of scholarship.
While appreciating the government, Comrade Bako further appealed for the upward review of the scholarship allowance considering the present economic realities.
A press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the Information Officer SSG’s Office Joshua Ɗanmalam, said “The president who also appreciated the SSG for his fatherly role in GOSSA, assured him of their unwavering support to the present administration”.

Responding, the SSG appreciated the leadership of GOSSA for their support and cooperation to the Inuwa Yahaya led administration, advising them to maintain the tempo.
On the meed for review of scholarship, Professor Njoɗi tasks the leadership to come up with a realistic position on how best to implement it.
He further charged students from Gombe State to take advantage of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund), a Federal Government’s initiative to support parents and students towards seamless studies.
