
The Secretary to the Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has challenged the newly constituted chairman and members of the Gombe State Electoral Commission (GOSIEC) to manage their expectations in such a way that it do not affect the smooth running of government affairs.
The SSG gave this indication when he granted audience to the chairman and members of the commission who were in his office calling to express their gratitude to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for appointing them to serve the state.

A press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the Information Officer SSG’s Office Joshua ĆŠanmalam said “Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi intimated the appointees that their appointment to serve in GOSIEC was base on their individual track records hence the need for each to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their responsibilities in the commission”.
He stressed that the administration of Governor Inuwa Yahaya is committed to strong institutions that posseses the capacity to deliver on the policy direction of government for the benefit of the people.

Earlier speaking on behalf of members of the commission, the Chairman, Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission Abdullahi Garba Talasse expressed gratitude to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for reappointing them to serve the state.

He pledge that the commission will continue to serve within the ambit of enabling laws in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities.
