Stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State have expressed strong commitment and confidence of participating and winning the 2027 elections.

The stakeholders made their optimism known during an expanded stakeholders meeting in Gombe.

Addressing the participants, party leader in the state Senator Ibrahim Hassan Ɗankwambo said the party is solidly rooted with formidable structures from the grassroots.

While calling for more commitment to build the PDP, Ɗankwambo said “Our immediate focus is not about contesting elections, it’s about building and rejigging PDP, when the party is stronger enough, everybody can be carried along to contest for whatever position they aspire for”.

The party leader encouraged party executive at the ward, local government and zonal levels to equally conduct similar meetings if they had not done so already.

The Gombe North Senator boasted that PDP is the only party with strong internal democracy that is fully prepared for 2027.

“In the entire country, PDP is the only party that concluded all its congresses peacefully and successful, what remains for us is the upcoming national convention to seal our preparations and forge ahead, we are therefore ready, we are waiting for the APC and others to see how they could buckle up”.

While challenging party members and executive for more commitment, Senator Ɗankwambo declared that “Our sole aim is to send APC packing come 2027. We assure you that if you trust us again, we shall never fail you”.

While appreciating the State’s Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for organizing a grand reception in honour his guests during his daughter’s wedding, Ɗankwambo invited the governor to join the PDP.

“Let me use this opportunity to appreciate His Excellency Gombe State Governor for the honour done to us during the wedding. He showed that he is a true father and leader, we cannot thank him enough. We hope he will soon take the bull by the horn and join the PDP”

Ɗankwambo equally appreciated His Royal Highness the Emir of Gombe Dr Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, important personalities and all that grace the wedding solemnization and celebrated with the family.

Other stakeholders of the party who spoke at the meeting to include Hon. Ali Isa JC, member representing Balanga-Ɓilliri Federal Constituency, his counterpart of Yamaltu-Deba Federal Constituency Hon Inuwa Garba and that of Dukku-Nafaɗa Hon Bala Kelly stressed that PDP is still formidable and ready to seize power in Gombe State come 2027.

Zonal stakeholders Hon. Yusuf Manu Swa, Hon. Danazumi Pindiga and Bala Muhammad Magaji, stressed the importance of unity, commitment and loyalty to the PDP.

They encourage members to disregard any notion of leaving the party for any political movement, maintaining that PDP is strong enough to deliver Gombe State and Nigeria in the 2027 polls.
