The Gombe State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transportation has received proposals from seven construction companies, bidding for the construction of a state-of-the-art Three Arm Zone that will house the State House of Assembly Complex, the Judiciary Complex and the State Secretariat.

Speaking during the technical bid opening ceremony at the ministry, the Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transportation Engineer Usman Maijama’a Kallamu assured the bidding contractors of justice and fairness in analyzing their proposals and subsequent selection of winners.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry Idris Yanbiyu Buba, Maijama’a charged contractors who would emerge victorious to stick to standards, specifications, and timeframe.

He commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his foresight in establishing the three arm zone, maintaining that upon completion, Gombe will be a shining state worthy of emulation in the country.

Earlier in their submissions, the representatives of the contractors, the civil society organizations, Due Process Office, and the Senior Special Assistant to the State Governor on Special Projects Architect Yakubu Mamman appreciated the bidding process, describing it as orderly and transparent.

They said there would be no loser at the end of the bidding process, as contractors regard themselves as a family.

They appreciated the ministry for always sticking to due process, calling on other ministries to borrow a leaf from the works ministry.

The seven contracting companies bidding for the three major projects are: KIPS ENGINEERING LTD, TERN GLOBAL, KASH NIG LTD, BMC NIG LTD, A&K NIG LTD, SUBJECT NIG LTD, and UTMOST NIG LTD.
