The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Gombe State House of Assembly Service Commission Chapter, has recognized the chairman of the Gombe State House of Assembly Service Commission and seven other permanent and part-time members with Awards of Excellence in Leadership. This honor is for their unwavering commitment in piloting the commission to greater heights.

Speaking during the award presentation at the commission’s premises, the Chairman of PASAN (House of Assembly Service Commission Chapter), Comrade Abdulmalik Adamu Aliyu, stated, “This little gesture is to commend and appreciate your commitment and initiatives in bringing new development to this commission. Before your emergence, we didn’t have directors, but now we have three. This has really eased our services and fostered development in the commission.”

While commending Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for finding the chairman and members of the commission worthy to serve, Comrade Abdulmalik added, “We are proud that you bring us honor and pride in the service.” He maintained that the award of excellence in leadership was in recognition of the awardees’ immense services and dedication to the commission and beyond.

In his address, the Chairman of the Gombe State House of Assembly Service Commission, Alhaji Sulaiman Abubakar (Iyan Akko), thanked PASAN for finding them worthy of the awards, describing the association as a perfect company worth working with.

“We enjoy our stay with you. We enjoy your support and cooperation you always give us in discharging our duties. We are very happy with what you are doing, and for recognizing the little we are doing here. You are really doing good and making this commission great; we appreciate you.”

While commending Governor Inuwa Yahaya for giving them the mandate to manage the commission, Alhaji Sulaiman assured PASAN that they will continue to give their best to steer the commission forward.

In her goodwill message, the Secretary of the commission, Hajiya Aishatu Hari Abdulkadir, also expressed appreciation to PASAN for finding them worthy of the awards, noting that they work in synergy with the association to move the commission forward.

“We are working hand in hand with PASAN to bring about progress in this commission. We have achieved something tangible, and that was only possible with the full support and cooperation of PASAN.”

While appreciating the continuous support they enjoy from the association, the secretary called on the staff to continue supporting the commission and PASAN, advising them to be diligent, patriotic, and punctual to duty.

Also in a goodwill message, a Former Permanent Member of the commission and Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House (Gombe South), appreciated the oneness of the members, whom he said are working as family. He commended the synergy between the members of the commission and PASAN.

Responding on behalf of the awardees, the Permanent Member, Alhaji Nasiru Haruna (Gafakan Dukku), thanked PASAN for the recognition, assuring that, “We will continue to do our best for the good of this commission till the end of our service. We are grateful for what you have been doing for us regarding the little we have been doing in the commission.”

The awardees include the Chairman of the Gombe State House of Assembly Service Commission, Alhaji Sulaiman Abubakar; Permanent Members Alhaji Nasiru Haruna and Alhaji Danladi Usman Umar; former permanent members Madam Eglah Idris Umar and Alhaji Abubakar Dantata; part-time members Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Kumo and Alhaji Sule Ahmed Uballe; and the commission’s Secretary, Hajiya Aishatu Hari Abdulkadir.
