The National Youth Leader Arewa Youth and Elders Forum (AYEF) Hon. Nafi’u Usman Bello (Scorpion) has began journey from Gombe to Abuja, to call on the Former Minister of Communication and Digital Economy Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami to contest for governor in Gombe State come 2027.

Addressing newsmen at his departure point; Gombe Central Roundabout, scorpion said the mission is to appeal on Pantami to rescue Gombe come 2027.

Nafi’u scorpion who doubles as Secretary General Gombe State Promoters Forum in Broadcast Media, said “Being a learned personality in both Islamic and western knowledge, Professor Pantami stands out as best candidate for Gombe People in 2027. This encouraged me to begin this journey, to convince him join the gubernatorial race in our dear state Gombe. Looking at his track record when he was Director General at NITDA, and when he served as minister, his achievements are countless”.

Scorpion said the mission is a collective, rather than personal.

“As masses ambassador, I am taking their messages up there to Abuja for the former minister to come and build up from the legacies of this administration”, he added.

While calling on politicians, traditional, community and religious leaders in the state to intimate Pantami for the race, Nafi’u Usman maintain that he will remain in Abuja from now to one year, until the former minister has accepted to run.

“I shall remain in Abuja until this mission is accomplished, rather, we have prepared all necessary documents to take Pantami to court, to compell him surrender to serve his people.

The AYEF National Youth Leader said the journey will be gradually and day-based from Gombe through Bauchi to Plateau though Nasarawa states and hopefully down to the federal capital on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Analysts believed that Pantami among several other APC chieftains are aspiring for the number one seat to replace the incumbent governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya come 2027.
