…Warns Defaulters, Political Offices to Wait for Political Time
By Saeed Ahmad Bappah, Gombe
The Gombe State Urban Planning and Development Authority (GOSUPDA) led by the Executive Chairman Alhaji Bappayo Samanja Maudo, has demolished an illegal newly constructed structure that has not secured approval and also exceeded building lines.

Briefing journalists in his office, Samanja said such cannot be tolerated anywhere in Gombe, especially around GRA axis and Government House drive.
He reiterated the authority’s commitments to ensure all structures either private or commercial, new or renovations secure legal approvals from GOSUPDA as clearly stated by law.

He said “It’s not proper for politicians to start politicking, as INEC has not lifted ban on anything to do with 2027 elections”.
The chairman said the executive order singed by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has restricted all political parties from erecting structures like bill boards or sign boards electronics or manual from Ministry of Works Junction to second Government House round about near to Chikaire Mosque.

He said “Let us follow the rules by submitting all building plans to GOSUPDA for approval, and equally wait for the time INEC will lift ban for political campaigns to start”.
He appealed to Gombe politicians both within and outside to consider the state first, and allow its citizens enjoy the peace endowed by Almighty Allah, and keenly cherished by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
The Chairman maintained that “The law is blind, and Nobody is above the law. The wisest among us are those who stick to law and order in all they do”.
