The Principal of Matsango Junior Secondary School, Azare Abdullahi Muhammad Yunusa has run away from the school when the monitoring team from the State Universal Basic Education Board inspected various schools of the Bauchi North Senatorial Zone for 2024/2025, first term schools resumption.
The Director Education Support Services of the board, Malam Aliyu Umar Wunti who led the team expressed dismayed over the situation and also the negative attitude of late coming by some teachers.
He noted that, SUBEB under the leadership of Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Duguri, will not tolerate such misconducts on duty.
Aliyu Wunti maintained that the exercise is a routine monitoring of schools to ascertain the condition of learning process of both teachers and students towards reshaping the education system.
Also speaking, Alhaji Isiyaku Abdullahi Azare who was the Permanent Commissioner One at SUBEB, promised to take legal actions on every teaching staff at Katagum Local Education Authority particularly the principal who run away without tangible reason.
He directed the Education Secretary of the local government to immediately query erring teachers to ensure effective service delivery.
On his part, the Education Secretary of Katagum Local Education Authority, Adamu Alhaji Muh’d charged parents and guardians in his jurisdiction to send their children back to schools towards complimenting Governor Bala Mohammed’s missions to revamping the education sector.
Some of the schools visited include, Hassan Tagwai Central Primary School, Matsango Junior Secondary School all in Azare Town of Katagum Local Government as well as Warji Local Education Authority in Warji Local Council respectively.
