An Islamic scholar in Bauchi, Ustaz Sirajo Abdullahi Isma’il has issued a cautionary message to women regarding their use of social media platforms.
Ustaz Sirajo made the statement while speaking with our correspondent in Bauchi.
He expressed concern about the increasing immorality among Muslim women on social media, emphasizing that pursuit for followers should not lead the women to inappropriate behavior.
According to the scholar, “Sharing nudity on social media goes against Islamic teachings, and you shall be held accountable for your posts in the hereafter”.
Malam Sirajo Abdullahi of the Umma for Da’awa and Humanitarian Services, highlighted the misuse of social media by married women.
He stressed the need for the Muslim women to leverage such platforms for businesses to improve their well-being here and the hereafter.
The urged married women to seek for Islamic knowledge and integrate it into their daily life for a more fulfilling existence.
Ustaz Sirajo Abdullahi Isma’il also advised men to actively monitor their wives’ activities on social media as part of their responsibility to safeguard their families from spiritual downfall, as mandated by Allah in the holy Qur’an.
