Bauchi Humanitarian Ministry Recognizes Community Volunteers with Cash and awards

As the world celebrated World Humanitarian Day 2025, the Bauchi State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management honored five volunteers for their outstanding commitment to community service and humanitarian engagements.

The State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka, said the recognition is to appreciate the awardees’ dedication to serving their communities.

She disclosed that the two nominees out of five were identified through her Radio Enlightenment Programme, “Zuwa Da Kai Yafi Saƙo.”

She explained that she personally nominated the Ward Head of Gwallaga, Alhaji Dan’dada Ahmadu, as the first position among the awardees, considering his track record on community development.

The commissioner announced that Alhaji Dan’dada Ahmadu received one million Naira and an award of excellence as first position, Mallam Isah Ladan Bagali became second position with ₦700,000, Babangida Gwabro Pelun Abba as third position with five hundred thousand Naira.

Others are Idris Muhammad Baba, known as Sarkin Gaisuwa of Teaching Hospital, as fourth position with two hundred and fifty thousand Naira, and Abdullahi Bayan Nitel as fifth position with N200,000.

The total amount disbursed to the awardees is two million six hundred and fifty thousand naira.

The Humanitarian Boss, called on the awardees to continue supporting the present administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad of the state.

In his remarks during the occasion, the Special Adviser on Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Alhaji Dan’ladi Muhammad, congratulated the celebrants for their commitments, urged them to support Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration towards improving the lives status of vulnerable people in the state.
