Bauchi Govt To Help Overcome Security Challenges In North East

The Bauchi State Government has promised a continued support on the activities of military personnel and architecturing the security system in the state with a view to protecting the lives and property of Nigerians.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad of the state made this known at the commissioning of the new Nigerian Army Armoured Corps Complex and the Armour Reunion Celebration which took place at Obienu Barrack, Bauchi.

Bala Muhammad who was represented by his deputy Mohammad Auwal Jatau, noted that the newly established armoured corps headquarters complex, will serve as a hub for training and deployment of military personnel to discharge their duties effectively.

He used the medium to commend the zeal of Nigerian Army Headquarters for the construction of the complex, saying “No doubt this development comes at the right time considering the numerous security challenges affecting the Northeast geopolitical zone and Nigeria at large”.

Governor Bala Mohammed also tasked the citizenry in the state to be law abiding for rapid development in the security sector.

He commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja on his dedication and milestones achievement since he assumed office.

Speaking shortly with our Correspondent Jibrin Hussaini Kundum after addressing the Armour Corps at the parade ground of the Barrack, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja affirmed his commitment to support the Armour Corps in order to discharge their operations effectively.

He said Nigerian Army is ever ready to strengthen the security system, especially in tackling the insurgency.

He appreciated the leadership of governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad for supporting the Armour Corps and other security agencies in fighting criminal activities in the state.
