…As Beneficiaries Salute Yahaya For Rare Sense Of Leadership

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has donated the sum of 3.6 million Naira to 36 victims of windstorm in Garin Abdullahi of Yamaltu-Deba Local Government in the state.

This was according to a press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the Information Officer, office of the Secretary to the State Government Joshua Ɗanmalam.

The State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) superintended over the presentation of the cash donation to the victims of the windstorm at its state headquarters in Gombe.

The Executive Secretary of the Agency Abdullahi Haruna Abdullahi Bakoza, said the Agency upon receiving the report of the windstorm, intimated the governor who wasted no time in approving the donation.

“When the sad incident occurred, we visited Garin Abdullahi Community, empathize with them over the unfortunate incident and took assessment of the houses affected and reported back to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who passionately out of love and concern for the plight of the people, approved the sum of Three Million, Six Hundred Naira (N3,600,000) to the victims hence the presentation today”.

The SEMA Boss said, the administration of Governor Inuwa Yahaya may not be able to pay for all the losses, explaining that the gesture is to bring succour to the affected families and prayed to God Almighty to prevent the occurrence of such disaster.

Speaking on the gesture, Adamu Saleh Pata, member representing Yamaltu-East in the State House of Assembly commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa for his quintessential style of leadership which seldom revolves around the welfare and wellbeing of the people.

One of the beneficiaries Adamu Saleh Garin Abdullahi expresses gratitude to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for his unrelenting efforts towards putting smiles on the faces of his people, describing the number one politician in the state as a true reflection of a compassionate leader.

He explains that the fund will accelerate their rebuilding process after the windstorm battered the community.
