The Special Adviser and State Coordinator, Gombe State Social Investment Programme, Aishatu Adamu Yaro has paid a courtesy visit to the Progress Radio and Television, Gombe in continuation of her advocacy to various MDAs, establishments and organisations in the state towards successful implementation of social investment programmes in the state.
This was contained in a press release by the Information Officer of Gombe State Social Investment Programme Hassan Mahdi Zambuk and made available to Jewel Times.
Speaking during the visit, the coordinator said they were at the station to seek collaboration with the media establishment in the implementation of social investment programmes.
Underscoring the role of radio and television in society, Hajiya Aishatu said “The role of media organisations like yours in creating awareness and public enlightenment nowadays cannot be overemphasised. Working with you, I am sure the programs of Gombe State Social Investment can go to all nooks and crannies of the state reaching hard-to-reach places”.
Responding, the General Manager of Progress Radio and Television, Hajiya Sadiya Ibrahim thanked the Special Advisor for the visit, promising that the media organisation is ready to support all the activities of the Social Investment Unit.
“I assure you of our full support and cooperation whenever the need arises”, the GM affirmed.
Hajiya Sadiya (Gimbiyan Matan Arewa) also felicitated with Hajiya Aishatu on her recent appointment by His, Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Dan Majen Gombe) to serve as both Special Advisor and State Coordinator of the Social Investment Programme, describing it as an opportunity to serve her people.
She expressed confidence that the Advisor will not rest on her oars and will deliver beyond expectations.
