The Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park Interim Management Committee has held a strategic meeting with electricity distribution companies and manufacturers to streamline the direct supply of electricity from the Daɗinkowa Hydropower Plant to the industrial zone, aimed at easing business operations.
Briefing journalists shortly after the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee, Malam Bashir Nuhu, stated that Savannah Energy Distribution Company has expressed readiness to wheel power from the Daɗinkowa Dam, generated by Mabon Power directly to the industrial park for factory use.
“We are fully committed to ensuring that this project succeeds, and we want to reassure both investors and the Gombe State Government that our efforts will yield positive results. The committee will not let you down,” Mallam Nuhu said.

He said the meeting, attended by more than 30 investors and business owners alongside officials of Savannah Electricity Distribution Company, was aimed at discussing the appropriate capacity and level of electricity supply required by companies operating within the industrial park.
According to him, the establishment of the park in Dadinkowa was strategically located close to the hydroelectric power facility to facilitate direct access to electricity generated by the Dadinkowa Hydropower Plant.
He explained that the arrangement would enable electricity to be transmitted directly to the industrial park, providing investors with the reliable power needed to sustain production and business operations.
Malam Bashir Nuhu also commended the surge of interest from investors scrambling to acquire spaces at the park to establish their businesses, noting that “The massive interest and competition among investors to secure plots in the industrial park is a testament to the viability of this project.”
On his part, the Managing Director of the Gombe Revenue Optimization Company Limited (GROCOL), Abdulqadir Usman, noted that permitting multiple distribution companies to operate will foster healthy competition, guarantee stable power supply, and ensure affordable tariffs for businesses.

“Allowing multiple distribution companies into the framework will foster healthy competition, guarantee stable electricity, and ensure that our investors enjoy affordable tariffs,” Usman explained.
The Managing Director of Savannah Energy Distribution Company, Abiddeen Olanrewaju Amusan, guaranteed a reliable and adequate power supply to the industries while urging consumers to maintain prompt and proper utility bill payments.
“We are giving our absolute assurance that the industries will receive adequate and reliable power supply. However, we also urge consumers and businesses to reciprocate this effort through prompt and proper payment of their utility bills to ensure sustainability,” Amusan stated.

Amusan assured stakeholders that the company would collaborate with all relevant parties to achieve 24-hour electricity supply across the industrial park, enabling businesses to operate and maintain production efficiently.
Speaking on behalf of the investors and business owners, the Chairman of Atlantics Table Water, Muhammad Adamu Abubakar, expressed optimism that the engagement would have a positive impact on businesses operating within the park.
“This meeting has given us renewed hope. The committee’s clear framework for connecting us directly to the Daɗinkowa dam shows serious commitment, and we are very satisfied with the direction things are heading.”
He said the meeting would strengthen understanding and cooperation among investors and key stakeholders, particularly the electricity distribution companies.
Abubakar further assured the authorities and other stakeholders of the investors’ readiness to provide the necessary support and cooperation to ensure the full-scale production and smooth operation of businesses within the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park.
This progressive initiative by the committee has significantly boosted investor confidence, driving a high demand for spaces within the industrial zone, as businesses position themselves to leverage the upcoming infrastructural milestone.
