Gombe State Government under the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has donated food items to corps members deployed to the state for the 2024 Batch ‘C’ stream 1 Orientation course.

 

This was according to a press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the Information Officer SSG’s Office Joshua Ɗanmalam.

The donated items include: three Bulls, 30 bags of rice, 10 jericans of palm oil, 10 jericans of vegetable oil, 10 Bags of sugar, eight bags of beans and five cartons of Maggi Cubes.

 

The statement said “This generous gesture is a clear demonstration of the Governor’s commitment to supporting the development and wellbeing of young Nigerians in the state.

The donation will no doubt have a positive impact on the lives of corps members, enabling them to focus on their national service.

 

The Governor’s support for the NYSC programme is a demonstration of his administration’s priorities, which includes youth development and empowerment”.

By providing these essential resources, the governor has succeeded in creating a conducive environment for corps members to thrive and make a meaningful contribution to the state.

 

While receiving the items, the State Coordinator Chinwe Nnenna Nwachuku who was visibly excited, expressed deepest gratitude to the governor for his benevolence .

 

She said “The governor’s donation is a welcome development that will have a lasting impact on the lives of our corps members in the state and a shining example of leadership and commitment to the welfare of corps members in Gombe State.
