The Gombe State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially launched its strategic preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The launch took place during the party’s inaugural State Executive Council meeting held at its state secretariat, Gombe.
Presiding over the session, State Chairman Hon. Keftin Amuga characterized the gathering as a historic step toward defining a new political direction for the state.
Addressing national officers, party stakeholders, and members of the press, Hon. Amuga asserted that despite what he described as “unnecessary judicial distractions,” the ADC has emerged “stronger, more unified, and better positioned to provide credible leadership at both the national and state levels.”
He urged citizens to “preserve unity, fairness, and inclusive governance” while working together to advance the collective interests of Gombe State.
The Chairman further noted that the party’s growth has been significantly bolstered since local stakeholders joined the National Political Consultative Group in December 2024.
He stated that this movement contributed to the effective repositioning of the ADC, transforming it into a “vibrant political platform with increasing public acceptance.”
Looking toward the upcoming election cycle, Hon. Amuga reaffirmed the party’s full confidence in Dr. Bala Bello Tinka, the ADC gubernatorial candidate, describing him as “a leader committed to the development, unity, and progress of Gombe State.”
He announced that the party would soon hold a grand reception in honor of the candidate, calling on youths, women, traditional stakeholders, and supporters to participate extensively in upcoming engagement efforts.
The State Executive Council called for continued discipline and dedication from all ADC members.
The leadership emphasized that the “greatest tribute to the sacrifices of the state’s founding fathers is to work together in peace and unity for a better future.”
The session adjourned with a renewed pledge from party leaders and members to intensify grassroots mobilization and strengthen the party’s influence throughout Gombe State.
