The Forum of Special Advisers in Gombe State has expressed gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for finding them worthy to serve in his administration.

This is according to a press statement signed and made available to Jewel Times by the Information Officer SSGs office Joshua Ɗanmalam.

Ɗanmalam said the forum gave this indication when it paid a courtesy visit on the Secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi at the Government House Friday.

The forum’s chairman AIG Zubairu Mu’azu rtd had while speaking on behalf of his colleagues explains that members of the forum consider it a privilege to be appointed as special advisers to serve under the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

“We are indeed grateful to the Governor for beaming his search light towards us among many in the State. The forum is equally thankful to the SSG for playing a pivotal role towards our selection”.

He therefore expressed the forum’s commitment to work for the growth and development of state through quality advise that will further deepen the present administration’s determination to leave Gombe better than it met it.

On challenges faced by the forum, Zubairu Mu’azu reveals that some of its members lack office accommodation to enable them effectively discharge their duties, saying the forum is not unaware of the massive reconstruction work going on at the government house.

Responding, the Secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi commended the forum for deeming it necessary to express its gratitude to the Governor for finding them worthy to serve.

The SSG said the government is not unaware of the shortage of office accommodation for the advisers noting that the situation is further compounded by the ongoing reconstruction and remodelling of the government house.

He however mention that his office has instructed commissioners to make available office accommodation for special Advisers without one.
