The Ummu Khadija Islamic School, Gwallaga, of Bauchi Local Government Area, has held its Qur’anic graduation ceremony, marking the successful completion of Qur’anic memorisation by six students after years of intensive learning and memorisation.

The event attracted parents, Islamic scholars, community leaders and well-wishers, who gathered to celebrate the spiritual and academic milestone achieved by the graduands.

The Qur’anic graduation ceremony, which took place at the school’s premises, featured recitations from the Holy Qur’an by the graduating students, demonstrating their mastery of tajweed and memorisation.

Speaking during the event, the proprietor of Ummu Khadija Islamic School Gwallaga, Malama Habiba Abubakar, said the graduation was not only a celebration of Qur’anic memorisation but also of character building and moral training.

She noted that the school remains committed to producing students who embody Islamic values, discipline and a strong sense of responsibility to society.

In his speech earlier, a renowned Islamic scholar in Bauchi, Imam Dr. Muhammad Mujtaba Abdulkadir, urged the graduands to continue revising the Qur’an and applying its teachings in their daily lives.

Dr. Mujtaba Abdulkadir who was represented by Muqaddam Salisu Adam Jahun, emphasised that memorising the Qur’an comes with the responsibility of good conduct, humility and service to humanity.

In her remarks, The Education Secretary of Bauchi Local Education Authority, Hajiya Talatu Yakubu represented by Mallam Ahmad Rufa’i Mukaddas, expressed gratitude to the school’s management and teachers for their dedication and patience in nurturing the students.

Speaking on behalf of the graduands, a sixty-year-old elderly woman, Malama Hadiza Mohammed, described the achievement as a source of joy and blessing for their families. She prayed that the Qur’an would serve as a guiding light for them in their daily affairs.

The event concluded with the presentation of certificates, prayers for the graduands and their families, and a closing supplication for peace and progress under the present administration of Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi State and the nation at large.
