A former gubernatorial aspirant in Bauchi State under the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 2011, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Ɗan China, has declared his intention to contest again in the 2027 General Election.
Ɗan China made the declaration during a press briefing in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, where he outlined his development blueprint focused on economic self-reliance and industrial revival.
He said his administration, if elected, would not depend on grants from the federal government or international organizations, instead, he emphasized a homegrown economic strategy focused on harnessing Bauchi State’s vast solid mineral deposits to drive development and job creation.
The aspirant noted that all the twenty local government areas of Bauchi State are endowed with viable mining sites, which he described as untapped opportunities capable of boosting internally generated revenue.
According to him, effective exploration and proper management of these resources would position the state as a competitive economic hub, not just in Nigeria but across African Countries.
Abdullahi Ɗan China explained that “My mining-focused agenda will directly address unemployment, particularly among youths, women, and other vulnerable groups”.
He added that the sector has the potential to generate thousands of jobs, both skilled and unskilled, while also stimulating small and medium-scale enterprises.
To this end, Abdullahi Adamu Ɗan China, criticized previous administrations in the state, accusing them of failing to utilize existing industries and natural resources effectively.
He said poor leadership and lack of vision have contributed to the slow pace of economic growth in Bauchi State over the years.
Dan China cited industries such as Steyr Nigeria Limited, Bauchi Fertiliser Company, and the Bauchi Meat Factory as examples of once-thriving establishments that have either collapsed or are currently underperforming.
He pledged to revive these industries as part of a broader industrialization agenda aimed at restoring the economic strength of the state.
The aspirant assured citizens that his administration would uphold transparency, accountability, and strategic partnerships to achieve sustainable development.
He also emphasized the need for local content development, promising to empower indigenous entrepreneurs and skilled workers to participate actively in the mining and industrial sectors.
Ɗan China reiterated his commitment to changing the governance narrative in Bauchi State through policies that will improve living standards and expand economic opportunities.
He called on citizens to support his ambition, expressing confidence in his ability to reposition the state for prosperity through effective leadership and proper resource management.
