Yankari Corporation Trains Drivers on Road Safety Measures

The Bauchi State Yankari Express Cooperation has organised a three-day capacity-building workshop for its drivers to promote road safety and signals, particularly during ember months.

 

The training aims to educate drivers on safety measures and best practices, particularly during ember months session.

 

Addressing the participants at the Conference Hall of the Motor Park, the General Manager of Yankari Express Corporation, Engineer Babaji Isah Yunusa, stated that the workshop is designed to advocate drivers on safety measures and techniques to uphold standards of driving in today’s digital age.

 

The workshop was organised by Yankari Express in partnership with Chittado International Driving School, seeks to address key causes of accidents, including over speeding, reckless driving, and failure to understand road signs.

 

According to Engineer Babaji, “These factors contribute significantly to the rampant accidents on Nigerian roads, hence the need for us to organise this workshop”.

 

He said since taking office as General Manager, he renovated office accommodations, and beautified the park’s surrounding towards enhancing passengers experience.

 

Speaking on behalf of the drivers, Malam Bala Muhammad and Auwal Bala Tukwane expressed gratitude for the initiative, pledging to implement safe driving practices, including wearing seatbelts, obeying road signs, and avoiding reckless driving, to improve the state’s transportation system.
