The Emir of Gombe His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr Abubakar Shehu Abubakar the third, has conferred the traditional title of Sodangin Gombe on wife to the Honourable Minister of Transportation Senator Saidu Ahmad Alƙali.
Delivering the emir’s message, the Shamakin Gombe Alhaji Usman Muhammad Shamaki, said “This honour done to you by His Royal Highness followed your track record, loyalty and dedication to the progress of Gombe Emirate. We congratulate with you and pray for Almighty Allah to bless your title” .
Delivering the emir’s speech, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Dawaki, the Dawakin Gombe said “This recognition followed Zainab’s commitments to promoting peace building, family discipline, and societal development”.
He called on her to sustain the qualities and promote good the norms and cultures Gombe Emirate is well known for.
Salaman Gombe Alhaji Usman Adamu Barde who introduced members of the entourage, said the team was made up of great minds who hold key traditional titles in the emirate.
In his vote of thanks on behalf of the new Sodangin Gombe and her family, Alhaji Muhammad Bala Magaji; the Magajin Garin Gombe, appreciated the Emir for the recognition, describing the awardee as responsible daughter who deserves the title.
He assured Gombe Emirate that “The new Sodangi shall never fail the emir, and shall do everything possible to protect the dignity of emirate” .
