The Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) has adopted Adebisi Moses Olusoji as its consensus presidential candidate following the successful conduct of its Presidential Primary Election Replacement in Gombe State.
The primary election, held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the DLA Gombe State Secretariat, was conducted through a consensus and affirmation process in accordance with the party’s guidelines and relevant electoral procedures.
The exercise was witnessed by members of the DLA State Executive Committee and other party members, as well as a representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), led by the Electoral Party Monitoring (EPM) official. Members of the press and relevant security agencies were also present.

At the end of the consensus and affirmation process, Olusoji was declared the winner after having satisfied the requirements and conditions for the presidential ticket.
Materials made available for the exercise included the DLA guidelines for the conduct of the primary, the official list of candidates, relevant election materials and other documents required for the conduct and monitoring of the process.
In a report submitted to the DLA National Chairman through the Office of the National Organising Secretary, Comrade Auwal Ibrahim of the Gombe State chapter described the exercise as peaceful and successful.
He said the election replacement was conducted in line with the party’s established guidelines and the applicable electoral procedures.
“Following the consensus and affirmation process, Adebisi Moses Olusoji was declared the winner of the DLA Presidential Primary Election Replacement, having satisfied the requirements and conditions for the position,” he stated.
The report was submitted to the national leadership for official record, information and further necessary actions.
